U7+ Alliance asks to work with G7 governments to increase access to education globally

The members of U7+ Alliance, an international alliance of over 100 university presidents, call on G7 countries "to work together to eliminate barriers and increase access to education globally", they declare on 11/04/2024.

Before the G7 meeting in June 2024, "more than 80 university leaders from 18 countries met at Bocconi University for the U7+ Presidential Summit and called on G7 leaders to work with them to support increased global access to higher education as a means of enhancing inclusion, building the next generation of leaders and contributing to stable, flourishing societies".

The alliance states that changes need to be done in collaboration with the governments of the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States).
