EUA 2024 Annual Conference: the vision of four countries on the implementation of FP10

"I regret that there are not more regular evaluations of the results of European projects. I think we are losing out on a lot of initiatives and projects that could be extended, but for which there is no follow-up and the funds are stopped", says Lucyna Wozniak, Vice-Rector for Research Development and International Relations at Lodz Medical University (Poland), at the EUA 2024 conference in Swansea (Wales) on 12/04/2024.

She speaks at a round table on the implementation of the successor to the European Horizon Europe framework programme for research and innovation, FP10. The discussion is based on the EUA vision published on 08/04/2024 on the subject. The document proposed 11 recommendations for "an impactful FP10".

According to Thomas Coudreau, Deputy Director-General for Research, Education and Innovation at Sorbonne University (France): "The main recommendation is to simplify the programme. Writing grant applications is not the most popular part for researchers, and it has become increasingly complex. We also need to develop support services to help them write the applications…
