FP10: five actions to move towards more inclusive gender equality plans (Leru and CE7)

"Providing resources to help higher education institutions design, budget for, implement and evaluate Gender Equality Plans": this is one of the proposals put forward by Leru and CE7, an association of seven Central European universities, on 28/05/2024. The two organisations are also calling on the European Commission to improve data collection and the evaluation of practices.

These proposals follow a seminar organised by Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) on 14 and 15/03/2024 on how to promote more inclusive gender equality plans in the context of European research funding.

The attending university representatives recognised "the importance and impact of the introduction in 2022 of the GEP (Gender Equality Plans) eligibility criterion in Horizon Europe". They examined the experiences gained with inclusive GEPs and reflected on the lessons to be learned for the next multiannual financial framework, FP10, due to start in 2028.
