The School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (France) Europeanising its research centres

EHESS, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, located in Paris (France), has drawn up a positive initial assessment of its strategy to Europeanise its doctoral training through the Euretes (European research training in social sciences) scheme, launched in 2023. Through a call for projects and dedicated funding, the institution is encouraging its research centres to forge partnerships with their European counterparts in the social sciences. They are invited to propose joint programmes, broken down into thematic areas and research and training activities. The main aim of the initiative is to develop the mobility of Ph.D. students.

Three Euretes partnerships have already been selected: a Franco-German project with the University of Frankfurt; one with Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) and the Centre for Urban History in Lviv (Ukraine); and the last with the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and Carlos III (Spain).
