Una Europa alliance partnering with three African universities to work on sustainability

"The Una Europa for Virtual Exchange (UnaVEx) project will harness the power of virtual exchange to bring 2,500 university students together across Europe and Africa to tackle pressing societal challenges such as climate change, global inequality and the biodiversity crisis in an international and intercultural context", says Una Europa, the European university alliance launching the project with three African partner universities, on 26/05/2024.

The UnaVEx project, funded by Erasmus +, regroups the universities of Helsinki (Finland), Bologna (Italy), Leuven (Belgium), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Johannesburg (South Africa) and Nairobi (Kenya).

"The project is to educate these students in this intercultural framework, that they learn to use the online modules and we lower the barrier and give them tools to become sustainability leaders", declares Hanna Lappalainen, UnaVEx coordinator.
