THE Impact 2024: Australia’s Western Sydney University tops the ranking; UK first European ranked

Australia’s Western Sydney University tops the 2024 list of universities pursuing sustainable development goals for the third consecutive year, according to the THE University Impact Ranking published on 12/06/2024.

The University of Manchester (UK) and the University of Tasmania (Australia) follow in joint second place. Aalborg University (Denmark) takes fourth place.

The Times Higher Education (THE) notes that France is the top newcomer in 2024 with Institut Agro joining at 21^st. With 96 institutions, India is the most-represented country in the ranking.

"The University Impact Ranking identifies and celebrates universities that excel across multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)", states the Times Higher Education.

"By excelling in a variety of SDGs, these universities showcase their commitment to addressing the world's most pressing challenges, including environmental sustainability, social inclusion, economic growth and partnerships."
