QS Best Student Cities 2025: London stays number one; 58 European cities in the ranking

London is the best student city of 2025, keeping the lead since 2024, according to the QS Best Student Cities 2025 ranking published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) on 18/06/2024.

Following behind the British capital are Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea).

In the top ten are four other European cities: Munich in 4^th (Germany), Paris in 7^th (France), Zurich in 8^th (Switzerland), and Berlin in 9^th (Germany).

Two cities make their first appearance in the rankings:
• Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) in 120^th place;
• Alexandria (Egypt) in 148^th place.

The ranking shows 150 cities, ranked by a score depending on desirability, affordability, employer activity, student diversity, university rankings and student view.

"To be considered for inclusion, each city must have a population of over 250,000, and be home to at least two universities featured in the most recent QS World University Rankings", says QS.
