MSCA: €96.2M to fund 27 doctoral and post-doctoral programmes (compared with 30 in 2022)

The European Commission has selected 12 doctoral training programmes and 15 postdoctoral fellowship programmes under the 2023 "Cofund" call of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions for co-funding of regional, national and international programmes on 18/06/2024. The overall budget is €96.2M. By 2022, 30 projects had been funded by the EU.

The list of selected projects will be published once the agreements have been signed. However, the European Commission is displaying data on the nationality of the project promoters and partners.

Spain and France are the countries with the most project coordinating organisations. They are also the two countries with the most projects coordinated since the launch of Horizon Europe in 2021, with 22 and 14 respectively.

The call was also open to organisations based outside the Member States, which can join projects as associate partners. There were 13 participations from institutions in the United Kingdom, even though the country's association with Horizon Europe was not yet in force in 2023.
