"A return to the EIT's core mission of training and educating talent" (Cesaer)

"In recent years, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology has experienced a growing administrative burden and over-regulation, accompanied by increasing co-funding and demands for returns on investment, which is distracting the EIT from its core mission", says Cesaer, the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research, on 24/06/2024.

Cesaer puts forward three recommendations to "revitalise the EIT and ensure its relevance":

• Return to the EIT's core mission focused on training and educating talent and innovation ecosystems;
• realign the EIT's funding model away from financial outcomes and towards a greater focus on training and education outcomes;
• strengthen synergies.
