G7 Science and Technology Ministers to strengthen open and safe international cooperation

"We stand ready to deliver coordinated and concrete support for and with Ukraine’s research and innovation ecosystem and we emphasise the role of science and technology in achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations and its Sustainable Development Goals", say the G7 Science and Technology Ministers, among other priorities, on 11/07/2024, after a three-day meeting in Bologna and Forlì (Italy).

The other conclusions are to:
• Welcome the Declaration on Transformative Science, Technology and Innovation Policies for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future;
• Encourage the engagement of civil society in scientific research processes by promoting and supporting mutual learning initiatives;
• Affirm the need for enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility to improve the quality of the scientific process, fostering a closer alignment between research and societal needs."
