Simon Marti (SwissCore) Head of the EUA Council for Doctoral Education

The EUA Council for Doctoral Education appointed Simon Marti as its new Head on 01/07/2024, says the association on 08/07/2024. Prior to its annual meeting from 26 to 28/06/2024, the EUA-CDE also appointed two new members to its steering committee.

Simon Marti previously headed SwissCore, the Swiss Contact Office for European Research, Innovation and Education in Brussels, for five years.

"Simon Marti was the Head of the Office of Science, Technology and Higher Education at the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States and before that worked as a Project Manager in Education Management and Research with the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation in Bern.

He is a political scientist and holds a master’s degree from the University of Bern. He completed his doctorate in Swiss-EU relations at the University of Basel and then conducted postdoctoral research as a visiting scholar at Columbia University", lists the EUA-CDE.
