EIT: Election of five new Governing Board members to "bring partners together"

Five new members are appointed to join the EIT Governing Board and strategically steer the EIT and its KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Communities) by the European Commission on 25/07/2024.

Alongside ten other experts from higher education, research, business and innovation, the EIT Governing Board welcomes:

• Anne Borg (Norway), Professor and former Rector of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology;
• Dariusz Jemielniak (Poland), Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Board Member of the Wikimedia Foundation;
• Kyriacos Kokkinos (Cyprus), Former Minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of Cyprus;
• Anna Lindén (Finland), Chairperson of the Board of Innofactor, Vice-Chair of the Board of Åbo Akademi University;
• Michel Mariton (France), Vice-President for Economic Development, Université Paris-Saclay.

They will "bring their skills and experience in business, education and research to the Board and particularly their abilities in bringing partners together to make innovation happen".
