EAIE: President's Award to Vanessa Debiais-Sainton (DG EAC) for "outstanding work on alliances"

"Winning the EAIE President's Award celebrates Europe's higher education sector, poised for deeper cooperation to lead the digital and green transition", says Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of unit in charge of European Higher Education policies and programme at the European Commission’s DG EAC, when she receives the award on 20/08/2024.

She is awarded for her "outstanding and important work on EU policies and actions on higher education, and more specifically on the European Universities Initiative", states the EAIE (European association for international education).

Three other awards are presented:

• FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria) receives the award for Excellence in Internationalisation thanks to "its focus on creating meaningful experiences for its student body, with a dedication to a holistic approach to internationalisation".

• Simon Marginson, professor at the University of Oxford and joint Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Education, is awarded the Vision and Leadership prize for "his dedication to leadership within the sector".
