EAIE conference: "Advance the interest of the higher education community in Europe and beyond"

"The EAIE conference offers a one-stop shop: you can meet your professional development needs through training and sessions, discuss current affairs with your peers, meet existing and new partners, and explore with consultants and vendors the services and products on offer", declares Mervin Bakker, the incoming EAIE Executive Director, in an interview with News Tank on 13/09/2024, ahead of the 2024 EAIE conference taking place in Toulouse (France) from 17 to 20/09/2024.

"When you have a crossroads of so many people coming together, it is a fertile ground for new developments", adds Laura Rumbley, Director for Knowledge Development and Research at the EAIE.

Mervin Bakker, who will take office on 01/10/2024 as Executive Director, notes an increase in participation from African stakeholders in recent years, which this edition should follow, as "the organising partners in Toulouse were very keen to bring forward perspectives from Africa".
