Switzerland: Six vice presidents nominated for EPFL's new leadership team

The ETH Board, the strategic management and supervisory body for the ETH Domain, announces on 19/09/2024 the appointment of EPFL’s next vice presidents, who will take up their positions on 01/01/2025, alongside EPFL’s president-designate, Anna Fontcuberta i Morral.

The nominations are:
• Ambrogio Fasoli as Vice President for Academic Affairs,
• Françoise Bommensatt as Vice President for Finances,
• Edouard Bugnion as Vice President for Innovation and Impact,
• Matthias Gäumann as Vice President for Operations,
• Marianne Wannier as Vice President for Human Development,
• and Stéphanie P. Lacour as Vice President for Support to Strategic Initiatives.

The day before, Anna Fontcuberta i Morral presented the nominees to the members of the ETH Board, who then had a chance to speak with those individuals, says EPFL.

"Four of the nominees are new to their position, while two others have had their terms renewed. The vice presidents will form, with Anna Fontcuberta i Morral, EPFL’s leadership team."
