Clarivate Citation Laureates: 22 researchers eligible for a Nobel prize in 2024; nine Europeans

22 world-class scientists and economists from institutions in five countries are on the list of Citation Laureates published by Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information on 19/09/2024. The list features researchers whose work is considered by the institute to be of Nobel stature.

Eleven of them are based in the United States, and nine are in Europe: six in the United Kingdom, two in Switzerland and one in Germany; while Israel and Japan also host one each.

"This year's laureates have made significant contributions to the advancement of key areas including clean energy, nanotechnology, 3D protein structures, the economic impact of corruption, heart disease, molecular dynamics, quantum computing, genetic fingerprinting and condensed matter physics."

Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information had identified four of the 2023 Nobel laureates, including, back in 2015, Ferenc Krausz and Paul Corkum, Nobel laureates in physics along with the French Anne L'Huillier, who refused to be included on the list.
