EAIE conference: projects, policy reports and international cooperation, summary of the 2024 edition

European university alliances, national delegations, higher education and research professionals, universities worldwide, the European Commission,... All of these stakeholders gathered in Toulouse (France) from 17 to 20/09/2024 for the European Association for International Education annual conference.

Twenty European university alliances were represented at the conference and talked to News Tank about their visions on the European degree, funding, the legal status, their work in research and the legislation expected from the next Commission.

"Horizontal learning is essential within alliances and much of what we’re trying to implement comes from insights gained by observing others", states Juan Rayón González, Strategic Manager at Ingenium alliance.

Universities also attended to "build their brands and connect with the European Commission". According to their delegations, the goals were to share innovative practices, connect with partners, showcase their work and gain visibility on the international stage.
