"The Heitor report's essence lies in 2 priorities: user orientation and efficiency" (L.Ragon, EAIC)

"Manuel Heitor sees consultants as the consequence of too much complexity. Simplification has become a mantra, but for us, the essence of the report lies in the other two priorities stated by the author: user orientation (the system must be designed for researchers) and efficiency", says Luc Ragon, President and founding member of the EAIC (European Association of Innovation Consultants), on 29/10/2024.

In an interview with News Tank, he is joined by Virginie Robin, a member of the EAIC board, to talk about the association's positioning in Brussels in the light of the latest news and reports published, such as those by Mario Draghi and Manuel Heitor.

"We are consultants, and our job is not to play politics. A lot of reports serve political ends, and we sometimes find it hard to understand whether they are there to propose solutions or to serve political positions that are a bit beyond us", he states.
