Danish National Research Foundation : Niels Mejlgaard new CEO

Niels Mejlgaard will take on the role of CEO of the Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF) starting 13/01/2025, announces the Danish organisation on 26/11/2024.

He succeeds Søren-Peter Olsen, who is stepping down after nine years as CEO of the foundation. Niels Mejlgaard has been Vice Dean for Research and Talent Development at Aarhus BSS (School of Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark) since 2022.

He has also been the director of the Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy and has worked with research policy and research evaluation in Danish and international contexts. He holds a degree in Political Science from Aarhus University and a PhD in Social Development and Planning from Aalborg University.
