"We are educating our students for the needs of future employers and scientific or industrial communities. We build programmes so we can connect our students early on with partners from outside of the university, societal or industrial institutions", indicates Thomas F. Hofmann, President of the Technical University of Munich (Germany), in an interview with News Tank on 20/11/2024.

He reacts to the THE-Emerging Employability Ranking 2025, where TUM is ranked 13^th over 250 institutions globally, the fourth European university ranked, after the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and the Imperial College London, all from the UK.

The President of TUM explains his university's high position by the numerous programmes and initiatives to encourage partnerships with industries or societal institutions, and the initiatives to encourage leadership and help students find their talents.
