Spain: €2,042.2 M to be invested in R&D&I projects and calls for proposals by the AEI

Two calls for proposals for R&D&I projects with a total budget of €995 M are launched by the State Research Agency (AEI) of Spain, dependent on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, announces the AEI on 13/12/2024.

The calls concern notably Knowledge Generation Projects and actions for the training of predoctoral research personnel associated with said projects to "finance the implementation of research projects aimed at promoting the generation and significant advancement of scientific knowledge and research of proven quality, and advancing the search for solutions to society's challenges in all fields of knowledge".

The deadline for applications is 31/01/2025 and the total budget is €675 M, 36% more than in 2018, the largest amount of money ever allocated, according to the agency.
