Eutopia alliance: Changes in governance on 01/01/2025; Chair of Board of Presidents to be discussed

The governance of the European University alliance Eutopia changes on 01/01/2025, announces the alliance on 06/01. Both Board of Presidents and Alliance Management Board, which gathers the heads of all Eutopia European-funded projects, replaces their Chair and Vice-Chair.

Daniel David, Rector of Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), who had been chosen to head the Board of Presidents, was unable to take up the post as he was appointed Romanian Minister of National Education on 23/12/2024. The Minister plans to fully resume his duties as Rector of Babeș-Bolyai University once his ministerial term ends, which is anticipated to occur after the presidential elections in Romania, scheduled for next spring.

The question of who will chair the Eutopia Board of Presidents will be discussed in the forthcoming weeks, says the alliance.
