EUA: Eight new members

The European University Association announces on 11/02/2025 the arrival of eight new members, after approval by the EUA Council on 31/01/2025.

The association welcomes seven institutions as individual full members, i.e. "institutions that conduct research, award degrees in at least two of the three study levels, and are financially viable":
• Clermont Auvergne University (France),
• Alfonso X El Sabio University (Spain),
• Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (Turkey),
• Biruni University (Turkey),
• National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya (Ukraine),
• Harokopio University of Athens (Greece),
• Krakow University of Economics (Poland).

EUA also welcomes Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland) as an individual associate member, i.e. "financially sustainable institution that awards degrees at the first and second cycle level, but does not meet the research criteria or organisation whose primary focus is research, but which also carry out some teaching".

These eight institutions join the community of over 900 members and affiliates from 49 European countries.
