Fraunhofer Society (Germany): Constantin Häfner new Board Member for Research and Transfer

Constantin Häfner will take up his new position as Executive Board Member for Research and Transfer at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (Fraunhofer Society) on 17/02/2025, announces the German research organisation on 14/02/2025.

He was elected by the Fraunhofer Senate during its meeting on 12/06/2024. "The renowned laser physicist has been Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT in Aachen since 2019", indicates the organisation.

"The Research and Transfer department is responsible for the organisation's research strategy and has the central task of promoting the utilisation of scientific results and cooperation between science and industry.

It orchestrates research resources, promotes the implementation of research results in marketable applications and develops research fields that accelerate technology transfer and strengthen the competitiveness of the German industry".
