Start-up and Scale-up Strategy: Consultation launched to reduce the innovation gap in the EU

The European Commission launches a public consultation to gather input on the Start-up and Scale-up Strategy, set for adoption in 2025, on 17/02/2025. The strategy aims to "close the innovation gap between the EU and its global competitors while enhancing the competitiveness of European start-ups."

This will take part in the 'Have your say' portal, an online consultation platform open until 17/03/2025. Events for stakeholders and the European Start-up and Scale-up Forum, a series of meetings including founders, CEOs and stakeholders, will be an additional source to participate.

The EU Start-up and Scale-up Strategy is "a flagship action of the Compass", according to the Commission. It will lead to tangible measures, such as the European Innovation Act and the '28^th regime', a unified legal framework that will help innovative companies grow.
