Polish Presidency: "We need to create synergies to better support R&D&I" (A.Szeptycki to News Tank)

"There are EU financial instruments directly devoted to science, such as the framework programs for R&I. However, we believe we also need to look at other EU financial instruments to create synergies to be able to better support R&DI, like the European Social Fund+ and the European funds for modern economy. That’s how we will have more funds for R&DI, says Andrzej Szeptycki, Polish Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, to News Tank on 05/03/2025.

He is chairing the Education and Research Councils of the Council of the European Union since 01/01/2025 and until 30/06/2025.

The Polish presidency is expected to adopt the midterm evaluation of Horizon Europe and the political agenda of the ERA as well as the EU Council resolutions on the European degree and on the European system for quality assurance and qualification recognition in higher education.

The Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education has three priorities for its presidency: openness, synergy, and inclusiveness.
