EAIC responds to EIC Board's stance on consultant use in applications

"While the EIC aims to make its application process accessible without external help, the reality is that crafting a compelling and competitive proposal requires significant expertise in business strategy, financial modeling, and market positioning", says the EAIC, the European Association of Innovation Consultants, to News Tank on 03/03/2025.

It reacts to the publication on 28/02/2025 of a review on the use of consultants for applications to the EIC Observations from the EIC Board, which states:

"We acknowledge that the EIC instruments are very competitive, and this may lead some applicants to rely on consultants, as a successful application can be life-changing. But please carefully consider the pros and cons of this!"

The EIC Board recommends engaging national contact points, tech-transfer desks (where available), Enterprise Europe Network members, and critical friends in reviewing and providing feedback on proposals.
