EUA: Four candidates for the Board for 2025-2029; election in April

The EUA announces the approval of four candidates for the association's Board for the period 2025-2029 on 07/04/2025: Manuel Tuñón de Lara, professor and former President of the University of Bordeaux (France), Angelika Epple, Rector of Bielefeld University (Germany), Gregor Majdič, Rector of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Ivanka Popović, professor and former Rector of the University of Belgrade (Serbia).

The EUA General Assembly, to be held at the University of Latvia in Riga on 10/04/2025 on the occasion of its annual conference, will elect four new members to the Board to fill the vacancies. The elected candidates will take office immediately after the General Assembly.

They will replace Paul Boyle (Swansea University, UK) and Anne Lequy (University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, Germany), whose terms of office are coming to an end, and Vincent Blondel (former Rector of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium), who left the EUA Management Board in the summer of 2024 following his election as a member of the Parliament of Wallonia (Belgium).
