Harvard University: U.S. government to review $9 Bn of funding over alleged anti-semitism on campus

The Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and the U.S. General Services Administration announce a comprehensive review of federal contracts and grants at Harvard University and its affiliates on 31/03/2025. This review is part of the Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism, created by President Donald Trump in February 2025 with the primary goal to "root out anti-semitic harassment in schools and on college campuses".

"The Task Force will review the more than $255.6 M in contracts between Harvard University, its affiliates and the federal government. The review also includes the more than $8.7 Bn in multi-year grant commitments to Harvard University and its affiliates to ensure the university complies with federal regulations, including its civil rights responsibilities", says the U.S government.

"Any institution found to be in violation of federal compliance standards may face administrative actions, including contract termination."
