European degree label: Reactions to the Council of Ministers; "Make the concept operational"

"What we need to do now is make this concept of joint European degree label operational by offering support to those who will have to check whether the programmes are aligned with the criteria or not. This will be carried out through a Policy Lab— a technical group tasked with defining the meaning of each criterion", says Yann-Maël Bideau, Policy officer at DG EAC of the European Commission on 13/05/2025.

He is speaking at an event titled "The European Degree - whither member states?" organised by Crasp, Cdefi, France Universités and the EUA in Brussels, the day after the European Ministers adopted a resolution on a joint European degree label and a recommendation on the European quality assurance and recognition system.
