Erasmus +: 17 recommendations of the EUA for the next programme

"Erasmus+ must be one of the EU’s top priorities for the next MFF, with a continuity in features of the present one; it needs a systematic approach for simplification and quality enhancement; the new lump sum approach is principally welcome, but requires clearer rules and better guidance and support..." These are a few of the EUA's recommendations for the next generation Erasmus programme, published in a report on 20/05/2025.

It is the result of gathering the responses of 500 higher education institutions in 49 Erasmus+ programmes and partner countries in a survey on their experience with the programme.

The report highlights the need to improve digital tools and simplify administrative processes: "Digital tools are the biggest issue of the Erasmus+ programme. More than half of the institutions (57%) stated that the Erasmus+ tools are neither robust nor reliable".
