"Everyone recognises that during the time the UK wasn't fully associated with the Horizon programme, some valuable relationships became more difficult, not lost, but strained. There’s now a shared priority, both bilaterally and between the UK and the wider European community, to rebuild those collaborations. It’s clearly in our mutual interest", says Jamie Arrowsmith, Director of UUK International, on 28/05/2025.

The international branch of UUK, the British rectors' conference, just concluded a European tour of UK partners to rebuild the relationship between the newly associated country and the rest of the continent.

Started in October 2024 in Paris (France), the tour then went to the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Poland and finally to Berlin (Germany) on 14/05/2025.

A delegation of British stakeholders from the education and research sector met with European colleagues in six key cities to rebuild collaboration and learn from full or associated partners on how to best leverage participation in Horizon Europe.
