Excelia BS (France): Nuno Guimaraes Da Costa appointed Director of Research

Nuno Guimaraes Da Costa is appointed head of research at Excelia BS, the school announces on 27/06/2025. He will take up his post on 01/09, succeeding Jean-Pierre Helfer, who has held the post since 2019. Helfer will become Special Advisor for Institutional Relations and Chairman of the International Advisory Board (IAB).

In his new role, Nuno Guimaraes Da Costa will be responsible for:
• "steer high-level, internationally visible research aligned with the major social and economic issues of our time;
• strengthen the societal impact of research and its inclusion in public debates and policies, as well as in business practices;
• increase the contribution of research to teaching and the highest academic standards;
• encourage the emergence of collaborative, interdisciplinary and innovative projects;
• continue to develop academic and business partnerships".
