Global average shows 35% dissatisfied with education systems (Ipsos Education Monitor 2025)

"34 % on average across 30 countries say the quality of the education system in their country is good; 35% say it’s poor" is one of the conclusions of the Ipsos Education Monitor 2025 published on 26/08/2025.

The report highlights that "people in Europe are among the most critical of their education systems. Majorities in Hungary (59%), France (55%) and Romania (54%) view education in their country as poor and the balance of opinion is also negative in Germany, Spain, Italy and Belgium". Only Ireland exceeds 50% (71%) of people who think that the education system is good.

One in three people (33%) see mental health as the biggest challenge facing young people today, ranking above inequality (28%), bullying (26%), and social media (25%). Over half (53%) also believe youth mental health in their country is poor, a view most strongly shared in Chile (73%) and France (69%).

Issues such as favourite subjects at school, banning social media and mobile phones at school, and the use of AI are also explored.
