22 researchers recognised 'Nobel class’ by the 2025 Clarivate's list of ‘Citation Laureates’

22 world-class scientists and economists from institutions in eight countries are on the list of ‘Citation Laureates,’ published by Clarivate’s Institute for Scientific Information on 25/09/2025, recognising their work as being "of Nobel Prize stature.”

Of the researchers named, ten are based in the United States, three in France, two in Germany, Japan, and Switzerland, and one in Canada, the Netherlands, and China. This is the first time that a Chinese researcher has been included on the list. According to Clarivate, this “reflects the country’s growing influence in the global scientific landscape.”

"This year’s Laureates have advanced knowledge in fields of urgent global relevance, including: Leukemia, appetite regulation, immune system research, signal processing, quantum computing, interstellar chemistry, and image compression, energy storage, green chemistry, sustainable energy, and cell engineering, remote work, automation, inequality, poverty, and the economic impact of culture and discrimination".
