EUA-CDE: Peter Hanenberg appointed new Chair ; three new members in the Steering Committee

The EUA Board has appointed Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Education and Director of the Doctoral School at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), as the new Chair, announces the EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) on 01/09/2025.

Three new members are also appointed to the EUA-CDE Steering Committee:
• John Creemers, former Director of the Doctoral School of Biomedical Sciences, KU Leuven (Belgium) and President of the Organisation of PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System (Orpheus).
• Tanja Storsul, Pro-Rector for Research and Development at Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway).
• Krzysztof Walkowiak, Dean of the Doctoral School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Poland).

"The new members succeed the outgoing Chair of the Steering Committee, Aleksandra Kanjuo-Mrcela from the University of Ljubljana, and the outgoing Steering Committee members Pirjo Nikander from Tampere University and Åse Gornitzka from the University of Oslo", reports the EUA.
