First MSCA call of Choose Europe for Science "to offer researchers long-term careers in Europe"

The European Commission opens the MSCA Choose Europe for Science pilot action "to offer researchers long-term careers in Europe" on 01/10/2025, with applications open until 03/12.

With an indicative budget of €22.5 M, this first call is part of the €500 M "Choose Europe: advance your research career in the EU" plan for the period 2025-2027, which was announced by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on 05/05/2025.

"Organisations applying for funding through Choose Europe for Science will not only host postdoctoral researchers, but also offer them longer-term professional perspectives", adds the Commission.

It also indicates that the programme supports at least three postdoctoral researchers per project for up to five years, with the MSCA providing funding for the initial two or three years, and host institutions continuing employment for the remaining two years.
