Sunrise coordinator: "Alliances are a tool to transform the university" (K. Sattler)

"Alliances are a tool to transform the university, make it open, develop new programmes, international programmes, and connect to other universities and organisations within Europe", declares Kai-Uwe Sattler, Coordinator of the Sunrise universities' alliance and Professor at Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany), to News Tank on 23/09/2025.

He is attending Sunrise's first summit at Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) (France). UTC is hosting this summit, focused on educational innovation and international mobility, as the institution is responsible for the alliance's Work Package 3, "which focuses on innovation in teaching, international mobility and international educational programmes that better meet the needs of our regions and our students, but also focuses on the triple transition (environmental, societal and digital)", explains Joanna Daaboul, Director of International Relations at UTC.
