Launch of the European Advanced Materials Academy: 200,000 people trained by 2029

The European Commission and the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) launch the European Advanced Materials Academy on 15/10/2025, to train 200,000 people by 2029 as a workforce that will boost Europe’s leadership in advanced materials, innovation, and sustainability.

The implementation of the Academy is led by EIT RawMaterials, a European network organisation created by the EIT, to cultivate fresh talent, promote lifelong learning, and reduce the skills gap in this sector, addressing to professionals and students from primary to professional education, companies with solutions based on workforce development needs and learning providers and trainers to co-create and run programmes that make a difference in the advanced materials field.

The Academy offers programmes addressing learning needs spanning the advanced materials value chain, sustainable-by-design approaches, and the latest technologies, certifications through courses that are industry-oriented, aligned with EU regulations and standards.
