Japan takes steps toward joining Horizon Europe

Japan is nearing a deal to join the EU European Union ’s €93.5 Bn Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, following recent talks with EU research commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva. If successful, Japan would become the largest non-EU country associated with the scheme after Canada, South Korea and New Zealand.
