Erasmus+ 2028-2034: Main EP groups choose rapporteurs

Four of the main political groups in the European Parliament have chosen which MEPs will be their rapporteurs on the European Commission's proposal for Erasmus+, as part of the 2028-2034 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), EP sources told News Tank on 27/10/2025.

Political groups will next negotiate among themselves to see which one of their MEPs is appointed as lead rapporteur.

The European People's Party (EPP) has selected Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski, a Polish MEP who is Vice-Chair of the Culture and Education Committee (Cult), according to EP sources.

The Socialists and Democrats (S&D) group has appointed Sabrina Repp, a German MEP. In addition to being a member of the Cult Committee, she is also a member of the Committee on Regional Development.

The Renew group has appointed French MEP Laurence Farreng. She was rapporteur for the Culture Committee of an own-initiative report titled "A New Vision for the European Universities Alliances", which was subsequently adopted by the European Parliament on 11/09/2025.
