THE/Emerging Employability Ranking 2026: U.S. institutions in top three places

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (U.S) has once again topped the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey in 2026, followed by Stanford University and the California Institute of Technology, according to the ranking published on 30/10/2025 by the Times Higher Education. Stanford and California switched places from 2025.

U.S. universities represent six of the institutions in the top 10, sharing the space with the University of Oxford (UK) in 5^th (up from 7^th), the National University of Singapore in 8^th (up from 9^th) and ETH Zurich (Switzerland), climbing seven ranks to 10^th place.

For Sandrine Belloc, Director of Emerging, “the top 10 remains unchanged in appearance, but it has been shaken up.” She used the example of Harvard, which fell three places to seventh.

She also declared that the pillar of internationalisation has become the third criterion for employability this year: "It surprised even us. In 2021, it was only in fifth place."

On the European side, Germany, France and the UK count the most universities ranked, with respectively 19, 18 and 15. They follow…
