German Rectors' Conference elects new vice-president

The German Rector's Conference (HRK) elected a new vice-president to serve a one-year term on its executive board on 04/11/2025. Six other vice-presidents were re-elected for an additional term.

Ingeborg Schramm-Wölk, President of Bielefeld University (HSBI), was elected and will take up the position of Vice-President of HRK, responsible for Transfer and Sustainability, on 01/12/2025.

The six people who were re-elected are:
• Ulrich Bartosch, educator and President of the University of Passau, as Vice-President responsible for teaching, studies and teacher training;
• Angela Ittel, psychologist and President of the Technical University of Brunswick, as Vice-President for International Affairs, Equality and Diversity;
• Georg Krausch, physicist and President of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, as Vice-President for Research and Scientific Careers;
• Susanne Menzel-Riedl, biology educator and President of the University of Osnabrück, as Vice-President for University System and Organisation;
