European Commission appoints Diana Jabłońska as Director for Youth, Education and Erasmus+

The European Commission has appointed Diana Jabłońska as its Director for Youth, Education and Erasmus+ within the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC).

In a decision announced on 25/11/2025, the Commission said she will replace Michael Teutsch, who is currently serving as Acting Director, on a date to be determined.

Jabłońska is from Poland and is currently Head of Unit in charge of Regional Strategies and Investments within the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST). She was previously Head of Unit for Georgia, Moldova, the Economic and Investment Plan and Institution Building at the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR). Before that, she served as Deputy Head of Unit for School Education and Erasmus+ at DG EAC.

Before joining the European Commission in 2003, she worked at the Polish Ministry of Economy.
