The business education market is undergoing transformation rather than decline, with stable enrolment rates in business schools masking significant shifts in choice o programmes, according to a new report from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The report, titled "Enrollment Trends at AACSB Business Schools: 2025" and published on 11/12/2025, provides an in-depth analysis of undergraduate and master’s enrolment patterns. It is based on data from AACSB-accredited schools and highlights that while demand remains strong, strategic clarity and adaptability are now essential for institutions navigating emerging shifts.

One of the main findings is that students seem to take more time and expand their options before enrolling. They have slightly lost interest in traditional MBAs in favour of more focused, specialist programmes, and they take into account the delivery format, with fully online MBAs seeing a steady increase.
