European Commission grants 117 Erasmus+ projects European Innovative Teaching Award

The European Commission has awarded the European Innovative Teaching Award to 117 projects.

On 09/12/2025, Roxana Mînzatu, Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness, presented the European Innovative Teaching Award to 117 winners from 31 countries. The award celebrates teachers, trainers and educators whose Erasmus+ projects empower learners to participate actively in democratic life, embrace shared values and engage in civic life through a whole-school approach.

The projects are divided into five categories:
• Early childhood education and care;
• School education;
• Vocational education and training;
• Adult education;
• European Language Label.

Since its launch in 2021, the award has recognised educators involved in more than 500 projects across Europe.

The theme of the 2025 European Innovative Teaching Award was “Citizenship Education - Participation in Democratic Life, Common Values and Civic Engagement,” aligning with one of the main priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme.
