European Commission appoints 15 new members to European Innovation Council Board

The European Commission has appointed 15 new members to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Board.

The EIC announced on 19/12/2025 that the Commission had appointed the 20 members of the board, including five who were previously members.

The new members were chosen from 951 applicants who responded to the call for expressions of interest published in April 2025. They are:

• Francesca Bria: Honorary Professor at University College London Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose;
• Ana Casaca: Director of Innovation at Galp, Portugal;
• Jean-Michel Dalle: Managing director of Agoranov incubator, France;
• Stefan Drüssler: Managing Director of Unternehmer TUM, Germany;
• Belén Garijo: Chair of the Executive Board and CEO at Merck Germany;
• Maria Victoria Hernández-Valcárcel: Board member of Caixa Bank, TeamEQ, etc., Spain;
• Eliza Kruczkowska: Managing director of Foundation for Entrepreneurship Support, Poland;
• Milka Marinova: Founder and CEO of R8ER, UK;
• Ann Mettler: Adviser of Kinnevik, Sweden;
• Sorin Moisa: Co-Founder, Director and Chairman of the Board of Skyy Holdings Pty…
