Five new members elected to the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI)

The Assembly of the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) has elected five new rectors to join its Council of members, it announced on 18/12/2025.

The new members are Sergio Cavalieri (University of Bergamo), Stefano Corgnati (Polytechnic University of Turin), Giovanni Cuda (University of Catanzaro), Liborio Stuppia (University of Chieti-Pescara) and Giuseppe Peter Vanoli (University of Molise).

Eight members complete the Council: Francesco Bonini (LUMSA University of Rome), Giorgio Calcagnini (University of Urbino), Tiziana Lippiello (Ca' Foscari University of Venice), Giovanni Francesco Nicoletti (University of Campania), Alessandra Petrucci (University of Florence), Antonella Polimeni (Sapienza University of Rome), Laura Ramaciotti (University of Ferrara) and Andrea Romanino (SISSA of Trieste).

The CRUI is the association of the state and non-state universities in Italy. Established in 1963, it has since acquired an institutional and representative role, as well as a practical capacity to influence the development of the university system.
