University of Seychelles looking for new partnerships

After its official inauguration 15 years ago, the University of Seychelles (UniSey) is looking for new partnership opportunities now that several productive partnerships with European universities have come to an end.

In particular, UniSey is looking for staff exchanges as it wants to gain more experience and best practices from other universities.

UniSey has, throughout its existence, formed many partnerships with European universities. But most ended because of high costs: ”We have partnered for years with the University of London in different areas. However, we have stopped these partnerships, because of Europe being quite expensive and the fees increasing every year”, explained Dolivette Chang-ko, the Director of Marketing, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement of UniSey, to NewsTank in November.

“With the University of the West of Scotland, we used to do a Master's in Business Administration. This partnership has ended, and we now run this Master’s programme with the Commonwealth of Learning instead.” UniSey also used to run a Master’s degree in tourism with Paris-Sorbonne…
