The European Parliament, the European University Association, Universities UK International, along with other organisations, are hosting events starting this week.

News Tank’s agenda aims to provide an overview of the events taking place in Europe’s higher education, research and innovation ecosystem.

We focus on:
• events taking place in Brussels or related to EU institutions;
• events organised by major European universities or business schools;

• STOA Panel for the Future of Science and Technology Annual Lecture 2025: Academic Freedom in the US, European Parliament, 13/01, online: In the past year, tensions between the US administration and many of the major US universities have come to a head. This event will feature a keynote speech by Professor David Rabban and a discussion with a panel of academics and politicians to address this matter and how to establish a healthy relationship between public policy and the pursuit of knowledge.
